Alphabet Letter Fun
The kiddos have been working hard on learning procedures and routines and trying their best! This year has a great new crop of kids that are absolutely fantastic. We have already learned the letters: t, b, f, n, m, and next week we'll start with i, and u; which means we can start working on CVC words. This will bring more excitement from the kids. They absolutely adore working on the letters and we have been putting them into our interactive alphabet books.
after we make are letter,we move onto the writing activity. We put these into our interactive book as well, right after the letter. This way they can go back and review the letters and sounds thus far taught. The kiddos love making these activities and are so excited when this time comes.
Today we did our underwater animals logic line up. The kids LOVE doing these and can't wait for their turn to hold the cards. Later, the kids played the same in small groups.
To play this, four kids hold cards. I read the directions and the class decide if someone holding the cards need to move or stay where they are. If they need to move, the kids have to say where they move to. They simply love trying to figure them out. And it's a great activity for those kiddos that don't seem to do well in some areas --they will excel at this.
